The June Fete Horse and Pony Show is a Regular Member of the
Pennsylvania Horse Shows Association

PHSA Classification and High Score Award Points will be awarded on the same basis in the various divisions as specified by the AHSA.  Individual members are entitled to the annual PHSA High Score Awards only after they have paid their dues and their horses have been registered with the PHSA.

The Pennsylvania Horse Shows Association will be offering the following classes which will count towards the end of the year high score awards:

The Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the P.H.A. (Professional Horseman’s Association) High Score Award program will consist of several High Score Award Classes.  Ribbons and awards will be presented to the winners at the annual EPPHA Dinner Dance in February of the succeeding year.  The High Score Award points will be awarded on the same basis in the various divisions as specified by the AHSA.  An individual is entitled to the annual EPPHA High Score Award only after paying their dues to the organization.  Contact:  The EPPHA, Diane Boram, 237 Brookside Road, Norristown, PA 19401

The first over fences class in each of the divisions will be designated as counting towards the EPPHA End of the Year High Score Awards:

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Pre-entries until Thursday, June 9, 2011.  Any further entries must be made at the show. Please pre-enter!
  2. Horse Show reserves the right to close entries.
  3. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rule book will be conducted and judged in accordance herewith.
  4. All hunter classes will be judged on performance and soundness with emphasis on soundness and manners unless otherwise noted.
  5. The June Fete Horse & Pony Show, the Committee, or property owners will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage which may occur to any horse, rider or equipment before, during or after the show.
  6. Should any question arise that is not covered in the USEF Rule book, the same shall be referenced to the Show Committee whose decision shall be final.
  7. Failure to enter the ring within three minutes of being called will incur elimination.
  8. All fees must be paid and entry complete before numbers can be issued.
  9. The Committee reserves the right to cancel, combine, change location or add any class(es) or schooling deemed necessary.
  10. Ties for first place will be jumped off, all others will remain tied receiving equal points, ribbons and prize money.
  11. All riders must wear proper attire including proper headgear at all times while mounted.
  12. Horses must enter entire division to be eligible for prize money.
  13. Prize money and Championships will be awarded at the conclusion of the division at the show office.  Please allow one-half hour for processing.
  14. All pets must be leashed.
  15. It is a condition of entry to the showgrounds that these rules and regulations be read, understood and accepted.
  16. Jump orders will be constructed at the discretion of the show management by the steward.
  17. A processing fee of $40.00 will be made for all non-negotiable checks.  Any returned checks not “made good” within 10 days be forwarded to the USAE for collection per USAE Rule XV, Art. 1508.
  18. LIFE, CONTRIBUTING, SENIOR, JUNIOR AND AFFILIATED MEMBERS SHALL BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL CLASSES AT REGULAR MEMBER SHOWS, COMBINED TRAINING EVENTS AT THE PRELIMINARY LEVEL OR ABOVE, DRESSAGE COMPETITIONS AND COMBINED DRIVING COMPETITIONS.  A NON-MEMBER MAY PARTICIPATE AS A RIDER, DRIVER, OWNER, LESSEE, AGENT OR TRAINER AT REGULAR MEMBER SHOWS, COMBINED TRAINING EVENTS, DRESSAGE COMPETITIONS AND COMBINED DRIVING COMPETITIONS UPON PAYMENT OF A $15.00 REGISTRATION FEE.  PARTICIPANTS IN THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS RULE: 1)LEADLINE 2)EXHIBITIONS 3)GAMES AND RACES 4)CLASSES FOR 4-H MEMBERS 5)CLASSES RESTRICTED TO WALK-TROT RIDERS AND ACADEMY CLASSES.  ALSO EXEMPTED FROM THIS REQUIREMENT ARE RESIDENTS OF OTHER NATIONS WHO ARE MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING OF THEIR FEDERATION.
  19. Perpetual trophies must remain in the possession of the horse show committee.
  20. Show management reserves the right to add or delete schooling breaks as time permits.

Motorized Vehicle Statement

In accordance with GR1301.7: Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized behicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited go, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions.  Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license.  Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense.  Penalties may include exclusion of the child, (parent(s), guardian(s), and /or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Cahpter 6.   Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
